What's the 2026 rent increase guideline?: 2.10% — the cap on annual increases for rent-controlled units (broadly, those first occupied on or before Nov 15, 2018).
Which units are exempt?: Units first occupied as a residence after Nov 15, 2018. They're uncapped and use Form N2, but the 12-month and 90-day rules still apply.
How much notice do I need?: At least 90 days' written notice on Form N1, and only once every 12 months.
